Q: When we do a daily meditation, are we looking for a particular outcome?

A: Yes and no. Meditation is a science with outcomes; however, it’s best to stay open because the result that arrives can be more important than the result that is expected.

While people often approach meditation with a desired result in mind, the technique itself is the primary focus.

You should practice in the direction of the technique rather than measuring success. Meditation leads to developing a skill set, similar to learning music. Over time, practitioners build a repertoire of techniques that can be applied when needed.
